Disable old exchange account - Microsoft Community


i have old exchange email account (from former employer). want outlook stop trying new mail from, don't want delete mailbox , old mail. want stop trying new mail , giving me error can't connect account.

can this?

is old exchange email account enabled or disabled?

however, if using exchange online then, inactive mailboxes allow preserve former employees’ email after leave organization. contents of inactive mailbox preserved duration of hold placed on mailbox before made inactive. inactive mailboxes can't receive email. can access contents of inactive mailbox using in-place ediscovery in exchange admin center (eac).

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community
