Why my MacOS Outlook can't connect to my companies exchange server - Microsoft Community


the response logging fail, connecting company account.

i using mac os sierra , outlook 15.34.

it works macos mail app/ ios mail app /ios outlook /windows 7 outlook(installed on paralles on same computer, have use same computer name macos , windows7)

only macos outlook doesn't work .

macos outlook can work own office365 account .

what type of account error message? gmail, yahoo or exchange sever account?

if using gmail account, can add account via imap protocol yahoo account:

incoming server: imap.mail.yahoo(gmail).com   port: 993    select "use ssl connect(recommended)";

outgoing server: smtp.mail.yahoo(gmail).com  port: 587   select "override default port" , "use ssl connect(recommended)".

if use google preview account, follow article: outlook 2016 mac adds support google calendar , contacts.

if using office 365 account , image shows , enabled app password , two-step verification, when log outlook client, may need enter app password enter normal password.

you can find details via article: app passwords , two-step verification.

if make sure computer connected exchange server, clear cache: quit office apps> open keychain access , delete “adal” & "office" &"adfs"&"exchange"entries> relaunch outlook , provide credentials.

the last important, update outlook client latest version: 15.35(170610).

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
