Weird Formatting on Attachment File Names that contain Ampersands - Microsoft Community


in outlook 2016, received pdf attachment appears strange formatting in file name.

note "g" underlined.

the file name "retirementcome&go-greco.pdf".  seems when ampersand included in file name, ampersand not display in attachment list, instead disappears , underlines letter follows.

outlook 2016 mso (16.0.4498.1000) 32-bit

to better assist you, know if have tried downloading attachment , check file name if it's still same?

also, may try check if office updated. here's how:

  1. open office application, such outlook or word.
  2. click file, , click office account or account.
  3. view version listed under office updates.
  4. if version not @ 16.0.6366.2056 or later version, click update options, , click update now.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community
