Can't Clear contents of search dialogue in Outlook 2016 - Microsoft Community


hi,

a problem come in outlook email 2016. (running hp laptop winodws 10).

i setup 'subject', 'from', 'to' etc  search item,  enter value search dialogue,  eg.  searching email word 'report' in email body.  search works fine, when try delete value 'report' dialogue, not clear using either delete or backspace on keyboard (was working fine - week of may 26th 2017). 

only option restart outlook clear contents.  confound things, not happen time!

anybody else seen this?

since concern intermittent, recommend try repairing it. when you're done, restart computer. click on link repair office application.

let know happens after.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
