Search Index has broken for my Office 365 Pro Plus 2016 8201.2102 - Microsoft Community


my search function has broke in outlook 2016.  i've never had problem in 20 years.  however, recently, cannot search emails, calendar items, contacts.  when try, receive message "searching" forever sometimes, or "we couldn't find person you're looking for."  

i've tried deselecting ost search index, checking properties of ost file, making sure ost file can searched index, re-selecting ost in search index.  this works while, sometimes, brakes, on daily basis.

this problem tremendous, problem unbelievable.  this huge hurt our teams ability function.

please advise.

hi,

there several reasons why getting issue search feature in outlook. in cases, has using outdated version of office, or corrupted file on system file. isolate issue, recommend check updates office make sure it's updated.

if still encounter same problem after updating office, advise repair office apps scan , repair corrupted files may affect search feature function properly.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community
