Email setup - Microsoft Community

hello:

i self-employed , run consulting business out of home office. person in business, no employees. have own domain includes email. right now, email hosted @ web host provider , connect via imap in outlook on pc. connect outlook.com email address in outlook. (the outlook.com email address use log windows , access microsoft account). primary email account 1 attached domain. 

1. receive emails on both accounts fine. however, though in outlook, have set domain email primary account, whenever reply email, outlook replies outlook.com email , have switch manually before clicking send. inconvenient. 

2. calendar, use outlook.com account. because events instantly appear in outlook, online , on iphone , ipad. no syncing required. issue here meeting invites. when come default email (my domain email) , reply, appointments these end on wrong calendar. domain account keeps offline calendar folder (this computer only) stores these accepted appointments. have copy them manually outlook.com calendar.

3. contacts disaster. have no idea saving half time. seems there copies online, offline, etc. ones on iphone , ipad different ones in outlook, different in outlook.com account. have synced itunes (not fan of itunes) not seem have worked contacts different on each device despite having checked option sync outlook's contacts.

ideally, have online , synchronized devices. prefer keep 2 email accounts in separate inboxes, fine using 1 set of folders storing old email. want replies come domain email, (and never want send email outlook.com address). 1 calendar appears automatically on devices including meeting invite replies sent domain email. , 1 clean consolidated , cloud-based contact list. , continue using outlook on pc access of this, able use web-based tools when traveling. 

what best way achieve this? 

1. there settings missing in outlook fix of problems described? 

2. see can add alias email on microsoft account. use domain email alias, , receive domain's email through microsoft account's outlook.com email instead of directly imap setup? if so, solve problem? thinking might using calendar outlook.com account, hoping email , contacts similar.

3. failing that, should buy exchange online plan home or office 365 essentials business plan? again, thinking here switching domain email on hosted exchange solution solve issues outlined above.  

i apologize lengthy post, hope has suggestions or recommendations me. much. 

to have full sync across devices need outlook.com mail account has been migrated full exchange, or other exchange mail account.

if domain business specific mail provider may have option switch full exchange, or switch host/provider 1 support ex

there suppliers host ex mail , supply ms office 365, business version, eg godaddy 1 pkge.

if stay imap whilst mail sync else fudge, have found
