Set Regarding returning NULL value - CRM 2015 On-Premise and Outlook - Microsoft Community

we have 1 user who, when tries 'set regarding' email in outlook, returns value of 'none'. when ran trace using crm diagnostics , compared mine (doing same function), trace file showed value returned null each time. not sure why happening, have ideas?
we running crm 2015 7.0.2.53, using outlook 2016 on windows 10 machine. he using crm 2015 outlook plugin version 7.0.0.3543.
we have other users same software , having no problems @ all. any direction appreciated.
