XLSX Attachments in Outlook - Microsoft Community


have windows 10 , every time open xlsx attachment asks default app (the other type of attachments don't have issue). checked remember app , have correct default app in windows settings. how can fix this?

xlsx files opened using excel applications. regarding concern, possible excel app not set default app xlsx file. recommend download attachment on computer, launch excel app. there, please check if can able open xlsx file. validate if file corrupted or may give error message when opening file.

meanwhile, suggest check default apps file type on computer performing following steps:

  1. go settings.
  2. choose system.
  3. select default apps.
  4. click "choose default apps file type" on bottom of page.
  5. locate .xlsx file type , see if default app under excel app.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
