i have office 2016 , attempting have e-mail at&t/yahoo! available when use outlook. uninstalled , reinstalled office , followed instructions manually setting e-mail in outlook. display indicated had sent test message. when close window, message:
an unknown error occurred, error code 0x8004011d.
i can click cancel, next repeats above process. use outlook retrieving e-mail. there way eliminate error?

regarding concern, following try , fix issue:
- run command prompt administrator.
- type in cd/ , press enter/return key.
- type in sfc /scannow , press enter/return key.
the system take time scan. issues found fixed automatically.
restart machine after scan done , try adding email accounts in again.
- disable installed third party antivirus software , try adding email accounts.
let know outcome.
