Office for Mac, specifically Outlook - Microsoft Community


have new macbook air. loaded office 2011 mac , office 2016 mac. operating system has been updated 10.12.4. outlook 2016 not open @ all. outlook 2011 crashes in less 1 minute every time open it. not case on old air, 2010 updates 10.12.4. running outlook 2011 fine. idea may causing crash of outlook 2011 program on new air? idea why outlook 2016 won't open on either computer?

generally, office client not opened may related incompatible between mac os , office suites. fix it, please try upgrading office 2011 suites , office 2016 suites latest , check if issue persists.

to office update, please follow steps below:

  1. open office application.
  2. make sure mac has working internet connection.
  3. go menu , choose check updates.
  4. let autoupdate check , install updates.
  5. restart mac.

if issue still exists, i’d collect following information better understand situation:

  1. the detailed version of office mac 2011 , 2016 version. can open 1 of office suites word it.
  2. the complete crash log of outlook mac 2011. please click "more information" when outlook crashes again , send log file via private message.
  3. is there error message when open outlook mac 2016 client?
  4. do other apps (like word, excel) works fine?

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
