Outlook 365 Personal cant connect to Outlook.com email account - Microsoft Community


i got married , had change email address hotmail.com outlook.com. use office 365 personal, deleted hotmail account , tried add new outlook.com account. however, every time try outlook restarts.

i went through helpdesk fixed. fixed wouldn't update automatically hotmail account did.

it gets stage , restarts.

when add outlook.com account in outlook you should need fill out name, email, , password shown in dialog posted above.  outlook should autodiscover email address , autoconfigure it.

did make changes email account or add aliases?  example, if log onto page show outlook.com account , (primary alias) next https://account.live.com/names/manage?  double check email address entering outlook same (primary alias) after it.

in outlook.com see outlook mail or outlook.com in top left navigation?  curious if account has been migrated exchange or not.  if shows outlook mail see in topic on new exchange backend, https://support.office.com/en-us/article/reconnect-outlook-2016-or-outlook-2013-to-outlook-com-for-uninterrupted-email-access-cda1751d-9503-40bf-bf76-e79454ac5eb3?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us.
