Unable to change settings using mouse in outlook 2016 - Microsoft Community


i`m using outlook 2016 , wanted switch reading pane right off. tried use mouse navigate view --> reading pane. not highlighted neither i`m able choose off option. , not reading pane menu. can click on menu unable choose option.

this irritating i`m setting outlook preference , not working expected.

there possibility outlook profile corrupted or application needs updated. there several factors why experiencing , that's going figure out. before proceed, may know following:

  • what current version of outlook application? can check version going file tab > office account , click outlook.
  • do error code or messages when tried click option on menu tab?
  • have tried launch outlook application in safe mode , test if can click option on menu tab? can launch outlook in safe mode closing first, click windows key+r, type outlook /safe , click ok.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
