i have outlook 2016 account on mac. junk email preferences grayed , have no way select level of filtering. outlook doesn’t perform sort of junk mail filtering anymore. it’s done server side , accounts/account types not offer that can’t setup outlook. it’s sad, that’s decision made. in addition, because of aggressive sandboxing implementation in outlook, third party spam filtering integration no longer possible either. in cases that, have mail running in background spamsieve to efficiently filter emails me in background.  corentin   Office / Outlook / Mac / Office 2016 for Mac

managing emails potentially made easier using flags , updating flag status.  however, many times when change status 'follow up' or 'completed' displayed status stays unchanged.  doesn't matter whether change status when email open or main viewing pane.  bug in outlook or there else wrong on server causing problem.  unless there fix there absolutely no point in outlook having flag status. else have same problem?  or better - found fix! ***post moved moderator appropriate forum category.***   suspect related ms office outlook , not outlook.com (browser based) posted this.  if correct please either repost in ms office category version have using category tab @ top of page, or move thread there.
