Configure Outlook 2016 - Microsoft Community


hi all,

i`m trying configure outlook 2016 on windows 10. having difficulty configure .  i`m sure password correct tried login portal.office able access when try configure on outlook client still showing pop windows type password. ( repeated many times ).

fyi, have enable mfa mobile number.

appreciate if can assist on this.

thank information. inform if want connect office 365 account outlook client (with mfa enabled), need app password instead of normal office 365 account password on password prompts during setup.

first know if got app password when first update phone number, on 2-step verification in office 365 portal. if not, please follow steps create app password office 365. after got app password, save clipboard or notepad can use again on outlook account setup

on outlook setup pop-up, enter office 365 account , app password.

if receive credentials pop-up enter office 365 account , again app password.
