i connected client qq.com mailbox using imap. 2 days, keeps duplicating everything. if delete, later re-appear. 1 knows problem is? i'm using outlook mac 15.34(170515). xianfeng,  can check preferences imap?  go "tools" tab -> "accounts" -> select imap account -> click "advanced..." -> click "folders" tab.  select "don't store copy of sent messages."  does solve problem? hello all, i have several users experiencing odd issues gmail , outlook 2016 (using private domain). started happening tuesday june 27 @ around 10:00 edt. new email arriving in inbox in gmail not sync inbox in outlook 2016. had not changed on client. happened 10 individuals. email flagged @ gmail (such message important flag) sync respective folders in outlook. appears inbox affected. should noted not problem same users have email configured on iphone. email shows correctly on iphone not outlook 2016 installed on windows 10. for users: imap enabled outlook configured correctly (was working , stopped in middle of day). users in south east part of usa. while using outlook 2016 couple users in our environment having hard time searching contacts/tasks. able find these contacts , tasks looking them search function not work. so far here have tried on multiple people , yielded same results: -clean install of office 2016 -rebuilding index while making sure microsoft outlook 2016 checked in indexed locations -deleting mailbox .pst -running outlook 2016 in safe mode -running scanpst i have tried these in few different orders. such deleting pst, running scanpst, , rebuilding index. on forth.  (note: rebuilding index seems fix in mailbox new contact/task or email added past rebuild not searchable. old contacts not searchable regardless. rebuilding index every time new task or contact made, or once day not viable solution.) the thing can make search work turning off cached exchange mode making search online rather locally. have deduced problem have cached exchange mode not indexing items or

since yesterday's (may 14th) big update, ms office spell checkers have changed - notably outlook , word 2007. after entering words/text/etc. when click spell check -  suggestions not bold - have click change, asks me if want use nonstandard dictionary term, click no, reverts way spell checker used work. this seems related update, though may not , affects word, outlook. update - seems if 'undo edit', operates pretty before - why undo edit? why did change? last week i've been getting server popup window asking me verify server access, user name , password while using observer 2016.  i haven't had update information in years, today couldn't access email @ all.  i talked service provider , able log account via browser varying user name , password weren't problem.    hi, there several factors have consider in troubleshooting issue. in order better assist concern, have few questions you: were there changes made computer prior issue? what exact error message/code getting? what email provider? aside verifying username , password not problem, other troubleshooting steps have performed? regards.
