Add outlook.com account to Outlook 2016 - Microsoft Community


after updating creators update outlook 2016 stopped working when sending emails ...

i removed accounts, , profile through mail settings in control panel.

now can not add outlook.com account anymore. can add 2 work email accounts have.

tried without success:

* removed 2 factor authorization

- did not work account password .

* enabled 2 factor authorization

- did not work either account password nor new app password.

* removed authorization app

- did not work either account password nor new app password.

* enabled authorization app

- did not work either account password nor new app password.

hi,

since troubleshooting steps tried didn't work, suggest reinstalling application , see if fixes issue.

if issue still persists, can try repair office following steps provided on link.

keep updated on outcome.
