Office 2013 will not save credentials for accessing online documents - Microsoft Community


hi,

i trying use ms office 2013 alfresco, use instead of sharepoint uses same protocol.

the issue is:

1. web browser (e.g. ie 11), locate document, click on action "edit microsoft office"

2. word or excel loads (depending on format of file clicked), office asks me alfresco credentials. can download file sharepoint protocol. in login prompt, can check "remember credentials" (in french: "mémoriser ces informations"); doing so, expect office prefill login prompt same credentials entered @ first time:

3. close file office application. alfresco, click on "edit microsoft office" again.

result: login prompt displayed office blank, though checked box "remember credentials" earlier

expected: login prompt displayed office prefilled, , have click on ok button

workaround: add new entry in generic credentials of windows' credential manager, method not acceptable average user

the tested configuration windows 7 , 8.1, office 2013, ie 11 / firefox 51, alfresco 5.2 community (without sso, basic auth against ldap directory).

the credentials "remembering" feature working office 2010.

what cause of problem, , how solve it?
