Outlook for Mac attachment limits - EWS - Exchange 2010 - Microsoft Community

hello,

i have problem user using outlook mac 2011 edition.

when receiving email, attachments of 25+ mb received fine.

when sending email, attachments of 15 mb or more email fails send error:

  • client returns nondescript error box suggesting http error, server unable full fill request.

i've traced mac using ews sending emails , attempted adjust underlying exchange 2010 server based on following guides:

  • https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/3954.allow-large-attachments-for-ews-clients-such-as-entourage-and-mac-outlook-2011.aspx

i've ensured user mailbox usage unlimited , server settings including ews set ~ 50 mb, yet email still fails.

the 1 area failed implement timeout value adjustment, on changing found outlook mac stopped communicating exchange server (no windows based pc's affected).

the issue of send limit not occur on windows version of outlook , can happy send 25+ mb attachments without issue.

we have looked upgrading user outlook mac 2016 appears still uses ews.

i've performed multiple research , testing been unable resolve issue.

can please offer input on how resolve this, or offer evidence of being fixed on later releases of outlook mac?

hi,

unfortunately these methods failed.

we did narrow down issue exchange 2010 specifically, when using test mac on office 365 did not encounter issue.

what found changing limits made no noticeable change, when adjusting timeout stopped mail flow completely...but mac's, windows machines unaffected.

we investigating other options around have spent lot of time on mac issue.

thanks support, these articles others.
