PowerPoint 2016 for Mac frequently crashes when switching between - Microsoft Community


i'm on powerpoint mac 2016, version 15.34 (apparently latest version date). have noticed frequent crashes when opening blank presentation (or using existing presentation) , switching between normal, notes , outline views. not have font issues. running on os x 10.11.6, 16 gb ram. wondering if else having similar troubles? cannot consistently crash, switching between views, clicking on slides , switching between views crash app. switching between notes , normal view seems frequent culprit.

i might add using multiple monitors, , wonder if has issue.

many quick replies, , interest in helping identify problem.

i tried booting in safe mode, , started each helper app typically runs in background, 1 one, see if find culprits. 

good news! identified whenever moom (the os x window management software developed many tricks) running in background, powerpoint crashing issue when switching between normal , notes page views occur. when quit moom , attempt same steps in powerpoint, problem not occur. i'm never had issues powerpoint , moom before, apparently has changed during upgrade cycles, causing dependency on common processes (?) fail. 

it seems strange me window management app apparently no dependencies on powerpoint cause issues when powerpoint view changed, quitting moom solve problem on of machines, 2 running el capitan (10.11.6) , 1 running sierra.

i suppose next step report many tricks... wonder if not powerpoint issue well.

at rate, helping me track down problematic process. safe boot mode , little sleuthing did trick! need find alternative moom won't interfere powerpoint...

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
