Web browser opens with Microsoft advert when opening and closing - Microsoft Community


i grateful help.

i using desktop version of outlook 2016 (version 1703 - build 7967.2161) , every time open , close account settings dialog web browser window opens prompting me download microsoft’s outlook phone app.

the link page opens https://w2.outlook.com/l/mobile?wt.mc_id=2016_accountsetup.

the pop appears irrespective of whether make changes account settings or not - opening , closing dialog enough trigger advert.

as started assume results recent office 365 update.  although hard imagine @ microsoft have thought clever idea spam office 365 customers advertising every time need adjust or @ account settings.

as use dialog box quite intensely irritating.  therefore grateful if suggest way of stopping these browser pop ups so can use product pay money in peace.

there new build of office rolling out right now.  be 8067.2115.  if have not been prompted update yet click file, office account, update options, update now.  after update build check if still getting mobile link web page let me know , check further.
