Cannot automatically open attachments without Admin-mode/Cannot - Microsoft Community


to able directly open attachments without warnings found had open outlook admin change settings (the option greyed out when not in outlook admin). 

however, when in outlook admin, searching goes - , warning "the windows search-service deactivated in "heightened" mode." (my translation), , when start outlook, popup saying "direct search not available when running admin." (also translation). 


how can open attachments directly, without using admin-mode, or, how can use admin mode , keep direct search function?

hi,

the "opening mail attachment" dialog box can disabled once you're running administrator mode. if you're running outlook normally, checkbox before "always ask before opening type of file" greyed out.

once you're running outlook in administrator mode, you'll have option uncheck it, , prevent dialog box reappearing when you're running outlook normally.

note: you'll have once every file type in administrator mode.

let know if you're able disable dialog box following these steps.
