pointing gmail to exchange Outlook data file to use one inbox - Microsoft Community


setting new laptop... use office 365. old laptop runs windows 10 new one. old laptop uses office 365, same new one. on old laptop, in outlook desktop, have outlook exchange account , gmail account pointed same outlook data file location on hard drive emails go same inbox. cannot occur on new laptop. when open account settings, on first page of old laptop able highlight gmail account , change location of data file (which same location on c drive exchange account). on new laptop, running same exact version of outlook desktop, option not there! have deleted gmail account , tried manually set can point same outlook data file exchange account, when browse exchange account not there. when copy "address" see in properties exchange account address bar of browse window gmail account, find it, when click use location, tells me it's not outlook data file?

all want see email accounts in same inbox in outlook desktop have done in past. how can change email delivery file same file?

wow... spent hours trying this... had delete both accounts , add gmail account first, after adding exchange account, made exchange account default. under account settings, "change folder" button there again on old laptop allowing me point gmail messages exchange acccount inbox. sooo silly order in accounts added matter way!
