Insert PDF as an Object - Microsoft Community

hello community

working powerpoint in office 365 business on macbook pro running macos sierra (10.12.2)

i'm experiencing issue became serious problem when in hurry morning during presentation.

i asked insert pdf in ppt presentation file , followed these steps:

from "insert" menu, choose "object" , "from file"

once selected pdf (and other pdf later) got following alert message:

one of following errors has occurred:

- file type isn't supported powerpoint.

- linked file not available.

- app need open file isn't installed.

so, none of 3 errors has occurred.

and, there's thing useful before, old ppt version (office mac 2011): copy , paste non-svg vector graphics illustrator editable powerpoint shapes, or copy , paste indesign vector graphics powerpoint editable shapes. gone now.

anyone has hints, tricks, advices?

thanks

marcello

object linking & embedding [ole] not implemented in mac office in windows versions. pdf not supported object type, first 'error' 1 applies. alternative can use insert> picture first page of multi-page pdf display image.
