Missing envelope icon that shows new email have arrived - Microsoft Community


somehow yellow mail notification envelope has disappeared. i have checked settings notifications , on "show icon" on of them.   have asked people also, , still looking solution.  if don't have icon, have check mail every minute make sure i'm not missing important.  please help.  (windows 10, outlook 2016)  thank you.

this icon notification appears when receive new email message, meeting request, or task request.

for resolve issue, suggest following these methods:

method 1:  check outlook options.

  1. click file tab select options.
  2. click mail on left side of outlook options.
  3. under message arrival, make sure both show envelope icon in taskbar , display desktop alert ticked.

if these options ticked icon still missing, proceed method 2.

method 2: repair outlook 2016.

check article on how repair office application.

method 3: run system file checker.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
