Outlook 2016 .pst Files - Microsoft Community


outlook cannot access .pst files moved c: drive (ssd) d: raid 1 volume (2x3tb hdd)) along documents , data files.  outlook says "outlook files cannot accessed".  the file path (d:\documents\outlook files) appears correct; file paths (d:\documents\"whatever" accesses proper files via desktop shortcuts .  all existing outlook folders , sub folders appear in navigation pane , accessible .  if move documents c: drive outlook behaves properly.  i have read various ms topics cannot resolve problem.  i not want lose .pst files.  the os win 7 pro.

this may happen if outlook fails locate .pst files new directory. please answer questions can better in addressing problem:

  • how did move outlook files other location on computer?
  • are able save new files in new location?

please review page moving outlook data files correct problem. note link gives guide in performing steps using earlier outlook version, same steps apply outlook 2016.
