Outlook.com and Outlook 2016 program - Microsoft Community


i have read multiple posts regarding outlook_<letters , numbers>@outlook.com, client has been using outlook.com , outlook 2016. don't know recent change has been can not send email program now.

when send outlook program email shows name in format: name *** email address removed privacy *** reply.

when sending outlook.com sends email name , proper reply address.

he has purchased version of outlook , can not use it, issue!

i have followed instructions posted @ https://support.office.com/en-us/article/outlook-com-email-account-appears-as-outlook-long-series-of-letters-and-numbers-outlook-com-in-outlook-for-windows-90ed7938-7f21-4cb5-a69d-a3b79ea4eafd

even have gone far creating new outlook profile, still sends out bogus address.

thinks need know, how use application paid for?

no web interface not solution.

why has happened?

the issue alphanumeric letters in email address when sending happens if primary alias not outlook.com account.  example, if go page https://account.live.com/names/manage make sure outlook.com account shows primary alias there.  show email with (primary alias).  if not case locate primary outlook.com account on list , click make primary.  after make change should remove account outlook , add back, or create new profile , add during process.  enable outlook pick change.

the outlook team working longer term supporting non microsoft domain aliases don't have date yet.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
