"Send page by email" attaches the page instead of embedding - Microsoft Community


dear community,

i'm unable use option "send page email" internet explorer 11. option not grayed out. 

my specs are:

windows 10 pro - 64 bits

office professional plus 2013 - 32 bits

internet explorer 11

default apps settings:

email: outlook (desktop)

web browser: internet explorer

i have computer windows 10 enterprise, office professional plus 2013 - 32 bits , internet explorer 11 , after click on "send page email", outlook 2013 opens , see site embedded in email (not attachment). 

another friend same specs other computer (the enterprise one) able use "send page email" sending site attachment. 

does knows how fix this?

if you're using internet explorer, not edge, send page feature work if have email program installed , set default.

the default e-mail program must installed on computer- e.g.outlook express, windows mail (vista), windows live mail, thunderbird, etc.

you cannot use web-based e-mail service default. on windows 10, can't use mail app default when using internet explorer. edge can send page via mail app.

as you've seen on other computer, microsoft office outlook can set default e-mail program.

after installing e-mail program, verify have default e-mail program set control panel> default programs> set program access , computer defaults> custom> click down arrow.
