Outlook 2016 takes forever to receive messages on connected accounts - Microsoft Community

recently decided use outlook 2016 central hub e-mail accounts, added gain of using single calendar can accessed ios or android devices.

problems:

although outlook 2016 account can connected several other imap accounts success (including gmail , third party domains), messages sent others these accounts takes forever appear on outlook folders (sometimes more 40 minutes!). checking accounts through web can see that the messages there (almost instantly), outlook refuses show/sync them.

cache mode active , using setting. how outlook check connected account new messages? there way change or, better yet, force manual sync? (pressing send/receive nothing, think useful imap/pop accounts).

also, huge flaw outlook respond "reply/reply to" command weird address "outlook_<insert_big_number_here> @outlook.com", instead of address account message came through (or preferred "default account", i've set no avail.

seems me outlook 2016 (outlook.com) *completely* useless many errors.

i've deleted/added account several times, redone profile, redone account connections, changed preferred "from address" many times trying make work i'm forced wait until next week change preferred "from" address again. (!)

right i'm using several imap accounts, 1 each e-mail account have, , trying use calendar outlook 2016 "data file" calendar , contacts held - still has problem of having change "from" account every time hit reply message (to avoid going out weird "outlook_bignumber@..." in address).

i suspect related ms office outlook , not outlook.com (browser based) posted this.  if correct please either repost in ms office category version have using category tab @ top of page, or move thread there.
