How to upgrade outlook 2007 to outlook 365 Home Premium - Microsoft Community


how upgrade outlook 2007 outlook 365? want ensure email accounts (accounts, emails, contacts) transferred outlook 365. have 1 pop3 account, 1 imap account, , several folders of old email messages (transferred outlook express). running windows 7.

i have read online cannot have 2 versions of outlook on computer @ same time. has me worried.

first, cannot find information on how data in outlook 2007 upgraded outlook 365 (i assuming automatically done during installation). not want install new outlook, have automatically delete outlook 2007, , find emails/contacts not transferred.

a simple step-by-step guide on how upgrade outlook 2007 outlook 365 appreciated.

#1 - can outlook 365 installed without deleting outlook 2007? can test out without deleting outlook 2007. or outlook 365 not install if outlook 2007 still on computer?

#2 - if had migrated old email messages outlook 2007 (from outlook express) importing pst file somewhere, messages in pst file contained in general pst files outlook 365 draw data from? or need locate old outlook pst file , reimport outlook 365?

#2 - if data stored in pst file configured in ol'2007 - used ol'2016. happens when install ol'2013/'2016 copy of ol'2007 profile automatically made use '2013/'2016. once that's done, making changes ol'2007 outloook profile not show in equivalent '2015/'2016 profile (and vice versa). clear something, installing ol'2013/'2016 doesn't "import" - use existing settings related <email accounts> , <data files> found under <account settings> - difference being imap ost file(s) noted earlier.

as aside - no need "import" pst file since can opened directly in version of outlook.
