MS Office 2016 Issue - Cannot change to Desktop Mode/View - Microsoft Community


hi,

i'm using windows 10 pro v1703, ms office v16.0.7329.1051. both on ms surface pro 3.

i re-installed ms office 365 pro plus , notice wrong. office 2016 applications operates in (look like) tablet mode. big ribbon icons, etc. tried manually switch between desktop , tablet mode, none changes.

my previous office installation did not have issue.

would appreciate if can help.

i solved problem. seems during reinstallation, ms office got 'stuck' in touch mode (or in tablet mode if windows 10) , cannot automatically switch mouse mode (desktop mode of windows 10).

i use option below, switched mouse mode. desktop mode of windows 10 (or mouse mode in ms office). tried manually switch tablet mode through windows 10 action center, , ms office automatically switched touch mode.
