Outlook 2010 seach function stopped working all the sudden. - Microsoft Community


last week of sudden search in outlook stopped working, have tried several things work again , nothing seems make difference. issue seems indexing never completes after couple of days. can search , see things last week nothing today, yet can see in inbox. able search in owa. have tried following things no results:

- new ost

- rebuilding index

- turning on index search in control panel

- troubleshooting indexing - no results

- repairing outlook

the search issue problem in windows june security updates.  fix search issue expected tomorrow 6/27 via windows updates.  

in topic documented search issue issue #5, https://support.office.com/en-us/article/outlook-known-issues-in-the-june-2017-security-updates-3f6dbffd-8505-492d-b19f-b3b89369ed9b?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us&fromar=1.  there workaround disable windows search if need today.  if can owa though recommend that.

i posted registry key disable windows search , use outlook built-in search here, https://1drv.ms/f/s!aobsydez_bdhhrz0htsxgapkhhdveg.  double click on disable key disable broken windows search.  fix release tomorrow 6/27 via windows updates.  after fix comes out use enable key go using windows search.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
