PPT 2011/PPT 2017 Issue - Formatting is off - Microsoft Community


i created ppt (in ppt mac) someone, , had compress file because large send them. 

i created ppt in ppt 2017 mac , recipient using ppt 2011 mac. 

when opened file, formatting off. graphics, fonts, etc. shifted place. sent pdf version , formatting appeared off them well. 

i have spent ridiculous amount of time trying figure out wrong , can't find answer anywhere. 

anyone have thoughts?

based on description, created 1 presentation in powerpoint 2016 mac. after compressing , sending presentation users using powerpoint 2011 mac, formatting hidden. suggest not compress presentation, , upload to onedrive. let users download onedrive check if can view formatting. can figure out if issue related process send presentation users.

besides, please provide information below, can better understand situation?
    1. detailed steps , related screenshots how compress presentation , send users.
    2. related screenshots presentation users cannot see formatting.
