Screen goes completely or partially black when opening Microsoft Word - Microsoft Community


my screen goes or partial black when opening microsoft power point, word , excel (i haven't tries other ms apps).  the black screen freeze way 5 minutes before can enter text onto document.  once i'm allowed enter anything, can enter few characters @ time before parts of screen turn again, such tool bar on top turn black , freeze again.  i've tried running on safe mode, removing add-ons, ms repairs, , reinstalling ms office professional plus, none of these options worked.  i communicated ms via chats, tech wants charge me $149 work through.  i don't want pay problems that's caused ms's own updates either operating system or ms applications (i not download other applicaitons onto computer other letting getting ms updates)  are there way resolve problem?

thanks of tips.  unfortunately none of above worked.  however, friends helped me problem updated video card , fixed problem.  this isn't ms office problem after all.  thanks of suggestions!!!
