After MacBook migration Outlook Search is not working. - Microsoft Community


hi all,

i have migrated 1 mackbook another. have macos sierra 10.12.3 , outlook 15.30(170107). after migration completed, have seen outlook find nothing when perform search. when search spotlight, spotlight find queries well.

i have checked profile using "outlook profile manager.app" , name default. changed name hope of triggering spotlight , outlook integration. did not anything. (btw profile name not contain special character or space.) have done spotlight index refresh outlook. spotlight still finds search queries in mails outlook still fails. difference outlook finds mails received/sent after new spotlight indexing. have checked profile , see has been modified @ 15 november 2015. outlook should search day criteria , find mails 2015 instead searches 3 day timeline. (spotlight re-indexing performed 3 days ago. spotlight working fine before reindexing.)

any ideas ?

thanks help. unfortunate none of worked.

when add new profile , set default; since mails inside old profile, outlook not show of e-mails. if delete old profile e-mails sent trash profile folder. have done before, did not again time. after trying new profile again, have switched old profile, , deleted new profile , confirmed has been sent trash.

i have checked  microsoft\ outlook\ spotlight\ importer.mdimporter , there 1 instance.

i have tried mdimport32 below , waited command complete. unfortunately nothing has changed.

mdimport32 -g "/applications/microsoft\ outlook.app/contents/library/spotlight/microsoft\ outlook\ spotlight\ importer.mdimporter" -d1 /users/<username>/library/group\ containers/ubf8t346g9.office/outlook/outlook\ 15\ profiles/<profilename>

even though not find solution, fast , great response. 

edit: something strange going on. tests, have moved e-mails in exchange server local storage , deleted mails in exchange server. can query e-mails. looks works fine now. information not have space in exchange server( 250mb :/ ) of e-mails in local storage.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
