Outlook crashes when I try to save an HTML template file - Microsoft Community


i purchased new desktop computer replace obsolete pc.  subscriber office 365, downloaded , installed office.  set outlook email accounts, , attempted make new html message template use in weekly newsletter send out.

i can create template, select file tab in order try , save template, outlook locks up, (not responding) message.  can force outlook close , open normally, , well...until try , save template!

the strange thing have noticed outlook data files *.ost, instead of expected *.pst format.  not use exchange, not sure why saved *.ost files.

i hope has answer this...

update

i deleted profile entries in registry, deleted *.ost files computer , restarted outlook.  able save message template.  however, tried send message using template, outlook once again crashed.  becoming absolutely useless.

to assist better regarding concern outlook, suggest run repair tool office , see if it'll resolve issue. may check article troubleshoot outlook.
