Outlook apparently ties up server - Microsoft Community


i had reinstall outlook 2010.  now unable retrieve email our isp email provider on device (iphone) while outlook program open , not "off-line".  previously problem when both desk-top , iphone attempted pull down email @ same time.  

the option how outlook checks email has remained @ default 30 minutes, however, if outlook open, email sent pulled down.  these emails never show available on iphone until outlook closed or manually taken off-line.

any thoughts?

if pop or imap mail account nothing downloaded until outlook polls new mail @ 30 minute interval
