Unable to search any previous email in Microsoft Office 365 Business - Microsoft Community


hello team,

we have upgraded office 10 to microsoft office 365 business. now, we realized unable search previous emails in outlook 2016. in outlook 2010 searching worked perfect. even, have done basic troubleshooting @ our end.

is there can me here. please ping me @ *** email address removed privacy ***

to better understand situation, i’d confirm following information:

  1. if using office 365 account, please sign in owa(outlook web app) see if can search old emails. need make sure these old emails not deleted mail server.
  2. when upgrading outlook 2016, using old profile created in outlook 2010 or new profile configured in outlook 2016? if it’s old one, please backup , create new profile , perform search.
  3. please try running outlook in safe mode pressing ctrl while clicking outlook icon see if can search old messages
  4. to avoid troubleshooting duplicate steps, can share steps tried?
