Office 2010 Attachments - Microsoft Community


evening gentlemen,

a user running windows 7 outlook 2010.  when opens email attachment double clicking on attachment within email message, opens corresponding program.  (pdf's open in acrobat, word docs open in word, etc).

the problem when user tries "save as" within corresponding program no dialog boxes appear.  as workaround user can save attachment onto desktop , "save as" works @ point.  however, adds infamous "extra step" bane of every person.

so far i've tried:

1. recreating outlooksecuretempfolder

2. recreating users outlook profile

3. running fixes on office , acrobat

has seen similar or have suggestions?

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
