PowerPoint 2016: TMP files saving in same dir as PPT file - Microsoft Community

i have user same issue, 8 character .tmp files created when using power point.  we not using trend micro.  we using windows endpoint protection.  has else encountered not using trend micro?

since different customers have different situations. so, let’s try following check outcome:
1.ensure powerpoint 2016 latest version.
2.try exclude folders powerpoint 2016 creates tmp file check outcome following steps in “to exclude specific files or folders” section in article: how configure endpoint protection in configuration manager.

if issue persists, i’d confirm following:
1.do files tmp file won’t deleted automatically or specific files?
2.some related screenshots detailed reproduce steps of issue.
3.a screenshot similar below opening powerpoint 2016 , going file> account.

4.your windows operating system version.
