Add Account Not Responding - Microsoft Community


hi everyone,

i have been having problem outlook 2016 cannot past "add account" screen. type in information via manual setup email account, , upon selecting next, window freezes, , states @ top "not responding". close application , restart it, won't work unless delete profile , start again. have made sure software date, , performed full repair. using office 365 proplus suite. have uninstalled , reinstalled. additonally, have tried 32 bit , 64 bit version of software both displaying same problem in outlook. have worked technical support, , unable assist me.

for assist you, kindly provide information below:

  • have tried using outlook.com , see if helps?
  • do have third party add-ins outlook? if yes, have tried disable them , try add account?
  • are using antivirus software? if yes, kindly try disable them , try run application again.

meanwhile, kindly check link see steps on running office apps in safe mode. identify if issue being caused add-in or extension.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
