Google doesn't connect to my (new) server - Microsoft Community


recently, i had switch isp spectrum.

their internet connection works fine, ...

my guy set account on outlook 2016 , followed instructions on google

to put in settings using pop enable , other settings. (but not imap).

i tried connect outlook google account , when tried download

my google email new account on outlook, keep getting

  -err [auth] web log in required.

which did .. multiple times.

he tried doing on laptop thunderbird , got same error message.

i have no problem logging web-based google email, but

i trying email downloaded in outlook account.

  google's faulty instructions or microsoft outlook?

many help.

did login google account , allow access less secure connections?
