MS Office outlook 2016 - Microsoft Community


i have removed , reinstalled e mail account in outlook 2016, data files have been removed folder header , subfolders removed e mail still show in left hand pane, please advise how remove duplicate address. new mail address has (1) next it, not sure if pertinent.

to remove existing outlook data file, please follow steps below:

  1. launch outlook, , click on file tab.
  2. click account settings.
  3. highlight existing data file, , click remove.
  4. click yes proceed.
  5. close outlook application , relaunch see changes.
