Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365 keeps asking - Microsoft Community


recently, outlook 2016 stopped working. try simple repair tool didn't work. followed several pieces of advice on various forums , none of worked. eventually, downloaded recovery assistant. once gets "getting information account" stage, asks password, duly enter. however, requests password again. , again. , again. , picture. meanwhile, "getting information....." page continues spin meaninglessly.

yes, entering correct password. know 2 reasons. one, know password. two, i've deliberately entered false password , tells me immediately.

any help?

the recovery assistant only, far i'm aware, functions on full exchange mail accounts, not hotmail/outlook.com
