Outlook 2016 crashing - Microsoft Community


began crashing on system #1 mid jun 2017, started crashing on system #2 today (jun 26). no recent software, or add-in changes on either system. makes me think it's microsoft problem, since it's occurring on 2 systems.

did 365 repair/re-install 2-3x on system #1 - no help. did safe mode on both systems - still crash - system #2 has 0 add-ins.

troubleshooting page step #3 create new profile. have had profile years, , bet creating new 1 won't help...

the issue crash moving email imap account caused change in service.  new property introduced outlook not handling well.  outlook team has developed fix , first release current channel build 16.0.8229.2073.  fixes other versions including msi in process not yet scheduled. 

since issue causing problem turned off in service should not see issues new emails youmove imap account.  property service stamping on emails no longer being applied.  existing emails moved prior have property stamped on , still cause issue until install client fix.

if need outlook 2016 client handle problem today install office insider slow.  channel has fixed build going out tomorrow current channel.  install insider builds see documentation, https://products.office.com/en-us/office-insider.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
