Office attachments in an msg will not save to Sharepoint when opened - Microsoft Community


when open word or excel attachment email being viewed in outlook 2016 appear not able save attachment (edited or not) sharepoint.  save options work correctly saving process appears hang.

the document saved (say after 60 seconds or so).

is there setting on outlook, sharepoint or office need modify?

you can firstly try adding sharepoint online site trust sites, , check if there improvements. here is article reference.

if issue persists, better understand situation, i’d confirm following things:

  1. do want save attachment on-premises sharepoint server or sharepoint online?
  2. the steps save attachments sharepoint. click save , directly enter library url in file explorer?

  1. try saving files onedrive, check if take long time or faster saving sharepoint.
