Outlook search function not working - Microsoft Community


i have client after getting creators update windows 10, can no longer search emails within outlook. have rebuilt index in windows indexing option, have done quick repair, on-line repair , created new outlook profile , put pst in new profile. i've done scanpst fix results in search emails mailbox folder not working @ all. no search results returned.

we can see here client having issue outlook search function. suggest install latest update outlook can resolve issue. advised client go file tab on outlook application, select office account, click update options , click update now.

if or setup outlook on computer, or created new outlook profile in late february , march 2017, when issue present (and search still not working), need recreate profile after updating builds 7870.2031 , later. see create outlook profile more information.

if or install update , search still not working try rebuild index. see reset indexing rebuilding instant search catalog > rebuild search catalog section.information.

if or reverted older build, please re-enable updates going file > office account > update options >enable updates.
