restore a bak file to outlook - Microsoft Community


outlook not letting me send emails  = crash , power point wouldn't open.  tech support had me create new admin account without password , uninstall office 365 , reinstall on microsoft account.  works except 1 of 2 email addressess pst data file disappeared  - need emails - had lot in folders - additionally address book entries gone.  curiously other email address sort of showed emails in not 1 need.  western digital mypassport backup drive has outlook file december 31 when last ran backup has bak extension.  nothing i've tired, including telling wd software restore file has worked - outlook can't find show.  has taken entire day, driven me crazy , can't important emails or email addresses due problem don't understand begin with.

not familiar wd backup process , seems strange add/change file extension of file. outlook file .bak extension 1 created via scanpst when run on pst file. if that's case, rename file using .pst extension see if works.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
