I created a folder, but now ALL my mail goes to that folder - Microsoft Community


i created folder emails may need keep whatever reason, can move email folder keep until no longer need , clears inbox. however, right after created folder of incoming mail seems copied , sent folder too. 

the thing think make stop set rule not understand how in world that, after looking how.

can tell me how fix folder can put stuff in it?

(excess info i'm mentioning incase may factor; have 2 accounts on outlook, 1 personal gmail , other school email, emails come in through gmail copied , sent folder thought think that's because folder listed under gmail in left side navigation pane. there no rules set on because don't know how , doesn't there rules on it. , i'm using microsoft mac, office 365, 2016.)

here required questions process next step:

  1. i wonder whether “keep” folder created you. far know, “important” folder default folder in gmail account , cannot delete it.

if custom folder, there drop-down arrow in gmail web page. remove , try create new subfolder under inbox.

   2.  if folder on same level in hierarchy image below shows, emails received delivered folder , mail @ same time. 

i’d confirm whether emails sent “new folder” created or leave paste in “new folder”.

    3.  did log gmail web app see if issue occurs?

additionally, did chance create folder in account? if same issue doesn’t occur school email account, may indeed related gmail account.
