Outlook 2016 Mac - Drag and Drop of Attachments Downloads Last - Microsoft Community


customer today reported issue.

when dragging , dropping attachment email in outlook 2016 mac (os 10.11.5) desktop, instead of downloading attachment in email downloaded different document.  

after testing determined doing downloading downloaded attachment.  so, if drag , drop attachment b, downloads attachment a, , if drag , drop attachment c, downloads attachment b.

this dragging , dropping, not opening or saving desktop (both suggested workarounds her).

any ideas?

have run tests in latest outlook mac product version 15.30(170107) couldn’t reproduce issue described. therefore, suggest upgrade customer’s outlook mac application latest version , check if issue can resolved. if not, i’d collect following information further troubleshooting:
1. detailed version of outlook mac client customer using. (in outlook> about outlook)
2. kind of email account did set in outlook mac client? , how did configure account, via exchange or imap/pop?
3. when did notice issue? did happen after upgrading outlook mac client or mac os?
4. issue occur every email attachment or specific series of emails have attachments?
5. identify if it’s account problem, set personal account in affected outlook mac client see if issue can reproduced? also, have tried configuring account on mac outlook mac installed? if yes, what’s result?

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
