Outlook search not working - Microsoft Community


so noticed outlook's search feature no longer working our office 365 users.  i've been doing testing , here's i've tried...

- updated outlook latest version (1704 build 8067.2157)

- ran scanpst

- checked indexing options , rebuilt indexes

- uninstalled , reinstalled office

*note running windows 7 pro x64*

the thing can think of fact our "my documents" folders repointed file server , pst resides there.  however, since haven't had issue in past, seems odd start occurring in last week or 2.

i moving exchange 365 , pst files thing of past, until then, ideas?

sorry, i've been working on issue among several others week.  so ended moving pst file redirected "documents" directory on file server onto local machine, repointed outlook "new" pst, , set default.  once did this, able search pst file.  

then, copied pst original location on file server, repointed outlook (again) , reset default pst (again).  once let outlook reindex new pst, attempted search , worked. 

from can tell, assuming outlook recieved update in last week or 2 , corrupted reg key somewhere pertained pst connection in outlook.  once created "new" copy of file , recreated connection, seems ok now.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
